5 Acts of Kindness Boards to Follow on Pinterest

I’m super excited to announce that I will be co-hosting the Make a Difference Mondays weekly link-up! Each week it is full of inspiring posts that I enjoy reading. That means it is a “one-stop-shop” for readers because … Continue reading

This New Year Join the #DeedADay Movement with 100 Good Deeds

I was gifted a 100 Good Deeds bracelet to review and share with my readers. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed herein are my own. For many, beginning the new year means starting work on new goals and/or resolutions. At least, that’s how it is for me! In a previous post, I mentioned the fact that I am working on making SMART goals this year instead of a typical resolution. I’ve actually been putting a lot of thought in to what I hope to accomplish in 2015, and how I plan to do it. These goals definitely won’t be a … Continue reading

Act of Kindness Idea: Christmas Gift Wish List with MyRegistry.com

Thank you MyRegistry.com for sponsoring this post! All opinions given are entirely my own.  Every day, I walk through our living room and look at all the toys the kids have. They have more toys than they know what to do with! But they aren’t really old enough to want any more toys either. They just don’t realize how much is actually out there yet. It’s me who wants for them. Around Christmas, it’s me making their gift wish list. It’s me asking for more stuff for them.  But this year, I’m going to do something different. I am going to … Continue reading

How to Help Series #2: 7 Ways to Help a Nurse

Have you been to a doctor’s office or hospital lately? Then chances are you’ve come in contact with a nurse. Have you ever thought about what that nurse does all day? Where Were You on September 11, 2001?

Where were you on September 11, 2001? The answer to that question is often a status update on social media on each anniversary of that horrific day. In fact, I’m sure it’s been my Facebook status at least once over the years. For a lot of us, we were in our homes, in our car, at school, at work, hundreds of miles away… And it really is something we will never forget. While all our lives were changed that day, we were also probably still able to quickly resume a “normal” life. But I want to take a moment to … Continue reading

31 Acts of Kindness – Part 4 – The Final 9

I have FINALLY completed all 31 Acts of Kindness in memory of Chaz for his 31st birthday! And I feel so good about it! I found this quote from Booker T. Washington that totally fits with what I have been doing over the past few weeks. What he said is so true!  Performing these acts of kindness definitely raised my spirits during an incredibly difficult time.  It gave me something to focus on and work towards.  And it has really inspired me to continue on this journey of kindness. Well, if you missed the first 3 posts of my 31 … Continue reading

31 Acts of Kindness – Part 3 – 5 More!

As I described in my first post in this 31 Acts of Kindness series, I am coping with Chaz’s 31st birthday by CREATING happiness.  My goal was to complete all 31 acts in just 1 week, but it is taking me a little longer than that… I think I am now into my 2nd week of working on this. But I’m OK with that because I am still working on accomplishing all 31!! 🙂 You can check out what I’ve done so far in the following posts: Part 1 – The First 5 Part 2 – The Next 12 And … Continue reading
