Let’s Get This Party Started Right!

Well, here I am.  Writing my very first post, for my new blog, Me Plus 3…TODAY!

I’m not really sure how or where to start…

Hmmm… I guess I’ll begin by saying that if this is your first time visiting my blog, stop by the About Me page so you can get a quick idea of who I am!

Next, I’ll go over the topics I hope to write about:

The biggest part of my life is my children.  So I plan to write A LOT about them, and about being a mom.  About the activities we do.  About the struggles I have with them, and the struggles of suddenly finding myself a single mom of 3.  About how amazing my kids are.  Basically, about what we are up to TODAY!

The next thing that has come to define me is becoming a widow at the age of 30.  I’ve seen this quote “When something bad happens you have three choices. You can let it define you, let it destroy you, or you can let it strengthen you.” (~unknown)  and I’m assuming it’s saying the right thing to do would be choosing to let the bad things in our life strengthen us.  But I don’t really think we get to choose at all.  We didn’t choose the bad thing, so it can be really difficult to choose the aftermath as well.  So for me, my husband dying has DEFINED who I am now.  And there is nothing I can do about it.  It is in all aspects of my life and every action that I take.  So yeah, I will be writing about young widowhood as well, because that is who I am TODAY!

Lastly, I’ll probably write a bunch of mish-mash stuff that takes up the other 1% of my life.  Just typical, boring stuff, because again, those mundane things will likely happen TODAY!

In case you haven’t noticed, the trend here is that I plan to write about whatever is going on TODAY!

Thanks again for stopping by! Please check out some of my other posts.  I hope you find them helpful, relateable, or maybe just entertaining!

Now let’s get this party started… 🙂

[…] you know that it’s almost my 1-year-blogiversary? My first post went up at the end of March in 2014. Over the past year I’ve learned A LOT about blogging, […]

I stumbled upon your blog and saw that you had been widowed and so just started reading your story! Sadly, it resonates with me because I’m also a young widow with small children. I look forward to reading and seeing how you’ve navigated this journey.
