Summer Bucket List Ideas

Last summer started out as one of the best summers of my life. And then it ended up being my worst. It’s weird how we could go from such an incredible high, to the absolute lowest low. But I am grateful that our summer started off so amazing, and that we were able to make those incredible memories together. I will ALWAYS remember the fun we had, and I will continue to tell our kids all about those wonderful times too. I’m not going to lie, before having kids, Chaz and I were pretty darn lazy. 🙂 As the weather … Continue reading

Quick & Easy Good-bye Gift!

I forgot that today was the last day the girls would be seeing one of their teachers from daycare! Um, hello “widow brain!” She is taking the summer off and then will be on maternity leave. She’s been so great to the girls, so I wanted to give her a little something to send her off. With a quick Google search, I found this adorable “Owl Miss You, have a fun summer” FREE printable on Lauren McKinsey’s Think Cute Printables site. I hustled over to the grocery store during my lunch break to pick up a package of candy bars … Continue reading

Freebie for Toddler Twins

I dabbled in blogging before, and fortunately, I wrote all about my experience during that time (I wasn’t the most consistent blogger back then!).  So you can read more details about how I learned about twin freebies by clicking here. And then you can find all the information regarding the free stuff … Continue reading

Finding 1-on-1 Time with Kids as a Single Mom – “Date Days!”

This post was featured on the How Do You Do It? Parenting Link Up! 🙂   On August 6, 2013, I suddenly and unexpectedly became a single mom. Someday I hope to find the courage to write the story of the worst day of my life, but as you can read on my About Me page, you’ll see that my husband passed away from complications due to bacterial meningitis. And that’s when I found myself to be a single mom to 3 kids under the age of 2.  Our twin daughters were 19-months-old, and our son was 4-months-old. I had … Continue reading

*Disclosure: Post contains affiliate links. As I’m sure many of you know, last week was Teacher Appreciation Week! Acts of Kindness with Toddlers – Rock Messages

Acts of Kindness with Toddlers - Rock Messages - Such a cute and easy idea! www.MePlus3Today.com

I have always been passionate about helping others. It was something both Chaz and I enjoyed. We never specifically planned our Acts of Kindness, but we just tried to always be kind. We would always try to give a little bit to service projects, charities and fundraisers that we heard about, or just give our time to friends, family, and even strangers! I can remember a time before we had kids, when Chaz walked in the door after work a few minutes late. He was just coming in to let me know that he was grabbing a giant flashlight and … Continue reading

It’s crazy to think about, but Will is going to be turning 1 next week! I can’t believe it! It’s with mixed emotions that I am celebrating his first birthday. I actually think I am having just as hard of a time with this as I did with Christmas. I actually started talking about his approaching birthday in therapy about a month ago! I’ve been “dreading” it since then! It is so incredibly … Continue reading

Kale and Fruit Smoothie!

I am far from a perfect mom.  VERY far!  I make mistakes ALL. THE. TIME. I’ve yelled at my kids when my patience is short.  I let them watch cartoons, A LOT of cartoons, when I’m having a bad day.  I do not keep the house immaculate.  I don’t really know how to discipline them.  They are not always under my constant supervision, sometimes I sneak away to check my email, Facebook, or Pinterest.  And I do not always feed them the healthiest, organic, non-processed food. But I try my hardest to be a GOOD mom.  Not perfect, but GOOD. … Continue reading
